You know, that seems like a bit of an overreaction if the guy is just a deadbeat dad. Crazy speculation here, but I wonder if he ditched the baby in the woods, not because he couldn’t afford to keep her, but because some oracle gave him a prophecy of his child growing up to kill him like Perseus and his grandpa or Oedipus and his daddy.

And if that’s the case, guy’s probably hauling ass home to tell his wife “Pack your bags! We’re moving to Fantasy-Sparta!”

Haha, I won’t lie, I thought it was a, “Oh gawd, you just casually came to ask where to abandon your own child???” reaction. I mean, that kid is more similar to Willow than my first son was to ME. :p (I’m very dark with dark hair, and my husband is fair with blonde hair. Our son ended up with Daddy’s blonde hair, and his eyes didn’t settle on Mommy’s brown until he was several months old.)

BUUUT, I wouldn’t be surprised if the shady reaction is more for reasons other said. Which I forgot to type into the original message there. 😛
