i know he is bad and all but killing is bad why everyone wanted her to kill him i do t get it are you suporrt murdering and killing ? where are you morals guys ?

In the original “Little Mermaid” the only way for the mermaid to return to her original form was to stain her feet with the blood of the prince whom she loved and was betrayed by. Given that in the original story she chose NOT to because she still loved him (he, after all, was depicted as very kind and generous), the fact that he is cruel and vicious with no sign of changing gives a different choice validity.

Granted, I think Nerissa killed him on accident in her shock, but regardless it would make me happy to see one less abuser in the world.

I think the stabbing was in shock, too. Despite all thats happened, I still think she loves him and like most in an abusive relationship, she’s just hoping that things will change.

That being said, I wish she’d just cut him a little, on the arm, on the leg. A superficial cut would bleed a lot as well and enough to return her to her to the sea. I want him punished, too, for what he’s done to both the girls but not out of vengeance and I don’t want her to be torn by guilt and regret thinking about what she’s done.

Ideally, I’d want to see him in front of a court, stripped of his royal title and anything he owns but let’s face it, that’d probably never happen to a prince who has gotten away with violence for this long – the family must already know and if not condone, then help cover it up.

Although in the original the little mermaid did not kill the prince, the story the fairytale is based on, she super murdered the prince figure….
