Ugh, my heart hurts for her… Maybe Willow can comfort her…?

If we’re following the Andersen, she might be thinking about how she’s going to have to kill a woman she just met and really clicked with! I’d be pretty torn about that, too.

Well, technically, in the Andersen tale she has to kill the prince. 😉

I thought she had to kill them both! But it’s been a long time since I read the original tale, and since she chooses not to do it in that version anyway, my memory of the details is still a little fuzzy. (I think it’s most vivid from the Shelley Duvall Fairy Tale Theater version, in which the sisters, in the sea in the moonlight, give the Little Mermaid this wicked looking dagger, and then she looms over the couple until first light.)

Looks like no one is happy about this wedding, except the crew because of the party.
